Introduction to Micronaut: Ultra-lightweight microservices

Micronaut is a new JVM-based, full-stack framework for building modular, easily testable microservice applications.

The Micronaut framework shares many core values with Grails, including the enablement of code simplicity and developer productivity. Plus, Micronaut offers many additional features for a new class of applications (e.g., microservices, serverless deployments, etc.) that may not be well-suited for Grails.

In this talk, Grails and Micronaut co-founder, Graeme Rocher, introduces the framework and demonstrates how you can take your microservices to the next level with Micronaut's ahead-of-time (AOT) compilation and Oracle's GraalVM to achieve instant startup and low memory footprint!
