Data on the growth stages of the crops and custom NDVI imagery via Planet Labs improved efficiency in crop treatment where growers were able to visualize the health of their fields, allowing farms to manage labor resources and optimize efficiency. This solution leveraged a large-scale satellite image processing pipeline including cloud coverage detection for a tailored vegetation index-based crop growth and health check. In 2023, the app has seen its footprint across 25 million acres of fields, assisting farmers from 7 states!
