Object Computing Engineer Named DDS Foundation Director of Interoperability

Object Computing, Inc. (OCI) announced today that OpenDDS Product Lead and Principal Software Engineer, Adam Mitz, has been named Director of Interoperability for the recently formed Object Management Group® (OMG®) DDS Foundation. In this role, Mitz will manage activities related to vendor interoperability, conformance, and data modeling and serve as a technical representative of the DDS Foundation.

The Foundation's goal is to bring together a community of technology companies, end users, developers, and IIoT industry influencers to advance the mission of the OMG Data Distribution Service™ (DDS™) standard.

Mitz will collaborate with five other technologists on the Foundation's executive team to develop user case studies, education initiatives, conformance/interoperability testing, and industry data repository models that promote awareness of the standard’s use in edge autonomy, high performance, highly-scalable Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and large-scale Consumer IoT applications.

The DDS Foundation was launched by OMG at an inaugural event on March 20 during a Technical Meeting in Reston, VA.
