55% of Technology Decision-Makers See AI as Essential to Remaining Competitive

The results of a public machine learning adoption survey distributed by Object Computing, Inc. (OCI) in May and June 2019 have been collected and analyzed.

More than 1,500 technology professionals were invited to participate in the survey, which set out to gather authentic insights into the use and efficacy of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies in organizations across all industries. Questions included whether respondents' companies already leverage AI and ML, what benefits AI and ML may provide, and much more.

Survey results revealed that while 55% of respondents believe that the application of ML and AI is essential to remaining competitive in today's market, only 33% of survey participants work for companies that currently use AI and ML technologies.

A variety of reasons were cited for slow adoption of ML and AI, all of which will be revealed in the full report.

Our sincere thanks to all the people who took time out to complete the survey; your responses provided valuable information that will help technology leaders advance into a "smarter" future.
