This month, our team attended MODEX 2020, a leading supply chain conference held annually by MHI in Atlanta, Georgia. Through seminars and exhibits, MODEX attendees gain valuable insights about the future of supply chain equipment and technology and learn how to stay ahead of the curve.

MHI recently published its annual industry report, which summarizes results from a survey of more than 1,000 manufacturing and supply chain professionals. Here are some of the key takeaways:

  1. 80% of respondents believe digital supply chains will become the predominant model over the next five years.
  2. 50% of respondents are planning new technology investments of over $1 million over the next two years.
  3. 67% of respondents believe robotics and automation have the potential to disrupt their industries and provide businesses a strong competitive advantage.
  4. 56% of respondents believe there is a competitive advantage to be gained through the use of artificial intelligence.
