Object Computing Shares Machine Learning Expertise at Google Cloud’s Data & AI Event

On September 8, Object Computing joined select industry leaders to present leading-edge technology solutions at Google Cloud’s Data & AI Briefing in Chicago. Themed ‘Creating Impact Together’, the Google Cloud event encouraged participants to imagine new possibilities of working together on a unified data and AI platform to create impactful experiences for customers.

Object Computing’s Machine Learning Strategy Lead, Dr. Yaqi Chen, was among a team of presenters showcasing how advances in precision agriculture modeling can unlock a fundamentally more precise greenhouse gas calculation.

Using real-world models like GREET (Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy Use in Technologies) can open up a vast landscape of possibilities. In this instance, Dr. Chen used these calculations within the biofuel industry to calculate the Greenhouse Gas emissions from bio input producers, specifically soybean farmers.

“By implementing the GREET model inside our Asterisms framework powered by Google Earth Engine, businesses across multiple disciplines are empowered with tools to tackle complicated real-world challenges, while enjoying shorter development time, improved end-user experience, and increased accuracy and quality of their data analytics,” Dr. Chen said.
