Chris will introduce the fundamentals of game development using Rust and the Bevy engine, focusing on the Entity Component System (ECS) Architecture. He will cover Key concepts, practical examples and common pitfalls when working with Bevy / ECS. This talk will cover enough for people to get started with a basic understanding.

Chris Taylor is an experienced game developer who began his professional journey in 2010, primarily working with Unity and a custom game engine while also exploring various other engines and programming languages. In his day job as a lead software engineer, Chris focuses on different software projects, but he has recently embraced the Bevy game engine, completing two Game Jam games and currently working on a full-sized project over the past four months. Passionate about game development and sharing knowledge, Chris is excited to contribute to the Rust community.
