On November 13, 2018, OCI, Google, and the newly formed Saint Louis Women Who Code chapter will team up to bring Google Engineer, Alex Weaver, to speak about the future of machine learning (ML).
Weaver will share her insights into the strategies that Google is implementing to democratize ML, making this powerful technology available to everyone – not just large, established companies.
Google's goal is to make it possible for individuals and startups to use ML to prove their concepts before raising the funds needed to scale, thus lowering barriers to market entry and eventually leading to an explosion in new business models.
Women Who Code is a global, organized movement in which members build a world where women are proportionally represented as technical leaders, executives, founders, board members, and software engineers!
The organization does this by:
- Empowering women with skills needed for professional achievement
- Building a local community where networking and mentorship is valued
- Fostering relationships with role models among women in technology
We are proud to be part of the founding committee of the St. Louis chapter of this inspirational organization.
Join us for this enlightening talk and get a glimpse at tomorrow's more inclusive technological landscape. Complimentary pizza and soft drinks will be provided.
