Object Computing Celebrates Debut of High-Tech Teen Creative Lab at St. Louis County Library

Object Computing, a technology consulting firm based in St. Louis, MO, joins the St. Louis County Library in celebrating the grand opening of the Clark Family Branch this summer, as announced in a recent press release by the Library. This milestone marks the exciting debut of the Object Computing-sponsored Creative Lab, a state-of-the-art hub designed to ignite creativity and foster tech exploration among youth.

"We are thrilled to see the Clark Family Branch coming to life, and for all the access and opportunity it opens up, in and for our community," said Gina Bremehr, Object Computing CEO. "We are grateful to have participated in this journey to invest in and help develop the teen maker space. The Creative Lab is a dedicated environment for our next generation of creators, to experiment, learn, and bring their innovations to life."

A Hub for Imagination and Innovation

The 5,400-square-foot Object Computing Creative Lab is designed around six core concepts: Imagine, Compose, Create, Build, Play, and Solve. The Lab features a 3D printer, recording studio, green screen wall, video game room, and a variety of activities to engage teens.

“This dynamic space provides a stimulating environment where teens can explore their creative potential, develop valuable technology skills, and collaborate with their peers,” said Garey Hoffman, Object Computing’s VP of Engineering. “Hands-on learning fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for STEM fields, as research consistently shows.”

Complementing a Vibrant Community Hub

The Clark Family Branch boasts a captivating design, crafted to cultivate a welcoming and stimulating environment that ignites curiosity and fosters a love of learning. Research demonstrates that early and frequent library use in children leads to a multitude of positive outcomes, including enhanced academic performance, stronger literacy skills, and the development of a lifelong love of reading.

“Our company embraces continuous learning and sharing back and our local libraries are the embodiment of these values,” Bremehr said. “We believe in the potential of every next generation of learners, and we eagerly stand beside them; to share and to learn, together stronger.”
